MEMPHIS, Tenn. - FOX13 obtained video showing a garbage truck taking out trolley lines and light poles early Thursday morning in Downtown Memphis.
This happened on South Main Street.
As of 8 a.m., debris remained on the street as crews worked on cleaning up the mess.
The video shows that the incident happened just after 1:10 a.m. on South Main Street and Butler Avenue. Shortly after, a car and two Memphis Police vehicles run over the debris and head in the opposite direction.
Officers arrived to the scene to find trash debris, powerlines, two light poles and glass on the ground, MPD said. A tenant at a nearby apartment told investigators that she heard "a loud boom" before running up to her window to see a garbage truck driving past the downtown fire station.
Police said there were no reports of injuries.
